We loved this park. It is right on the bay and we enjoyed watching the ships and the seagulls. Three restaurants are right next door and downtown is a short walk away. That being said, be aware there are no special amenities, only your standard campground hookups. Free Wi-Fi was added the first part of June. The rate reflects a seven dollar reservation fee, which you probably will need for a summer weekend. We definitely would stay here again.
This park is nicely landscaped and the staff is very friendly. However, the pull through sites are very close together. And as others have noted, the park is located right on noisy Highway 101. The noise does slow down at night, but starts up again about three in the morning with truck traffic. We found the noise intolerable and will not stay here again.
We really enjoy staying in this park. It is a quiet location, conveniently located for visiting Corvallis. A good bike trail runs directly in front of the campground. However, be aware that the campground has only the basics--water, sewer, and electric, plus Wi-Fi and cable, and no special amenities. And occasionally, when the wind is right, a manure smell may blow in from the fields across the road.
